Glaucoma risk awareness
Glaucoma can steal side vision quietly. Family history, high eye pressure risk factors, or unexplained visual field complaints deserve a careful exam and, when needed, specialist referral for pressure management and further testing beyond primary optometry scope.
Retina-related red flags
New flashes, many floaters, distorted central vision, or sudden blank spots can relate to retinal problems. We take these seriously: triage symptoms, document history, and refer promptly. Do not wait for a routine spectacle visit if symptoms are acute.
